Prospektiker participated in the Kick-off Meeting of the SusConVet project, co-funded by the Erasmus+ Programme of the European Union, held on 24–25 October in Rezekne, Latvia. Partners from Spain, Latvia, Slovakia, Cyprus, and Bulgaria take part in the initiative. During the meeting, project partners agreed on the management plan and defined the first tasks to be implemented, officially marking the start of the project’s activities.
The main goal of SusConVet is to support the transition of the construction sector—one of the most resource-intensive industries—towards sustainability. The project aims to enhance the professional capacity of participating organizations as VET providers by developing and integrating innovative training programmes designed to create professionals capable of leading the construction sector towards climate neutrality, circular economy principles, and social well-being.
The project’s tangible results include the development of a web-based interactive training product consisting of five modular microlearning units (EQF level 4), an online training platform with open educational resources (OERs), the training of 500 construction workers and 300 VET trainees, as well as the creation of a SusConVet professional community bringing together project partners, associated organizations, and construction sector participants.
